However, take it with a grain of salt because I don't have much experience in this area.

BTW if don't already have it, make sure you enable `LLVM_ENABLE_EXPENSIVE_CHECKS` in your local builds.  It's a super easy way to uncover subtle hard to find bugs just with lit tests, without running a big test suite for ~hours.
