It seems there's an agreement in that there's redundancy in saying "linux (and unix/unix-like)" but I see slightly different opinions on whether or not it should say "linux (and unix-like)" or just "unix and unix-like". In the previous threads, some had pointed out that linux is not unix, so it gets complicated :-) .

Since none of these were blocking concerns, I'll opt to resolve those questions alongside the pending naming discussion requested in https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/132263#issuecomment-2741572561. I _think_ I'll create a low-priority discourse thread to reach consensus on the naming scheme.

In the meantime, to minimize reviewer churn, I'll go ahead and merge. Thanks for allowing this incremental improvement :-)
