Bug ID: 52061
Summary: Failure to optimize out va_start usage when possible
Product: libraries
Version: trunk
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P
Component: Scalar Optimizations
Assignee: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
Reporter: gabravier at gmail.com
CC: llvm-bugs at lists.llvm.org
void foo(int i, ...)
{
__builtin_va_list ap;
__builtin_va_start(ap, i);
}
This can be optimized to doing nothing. This optimization is done by GCC, but
not by LLVM.
