            Bug ID: 49633
           Summary: We should probably warn at how 'static inline'
                    variables are odd at namespace scope.
           Product: clang
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: PC
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P
         Component: C++17
          Assignee: unassignedclangbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: erich.keane at intel.com
                CC: blitzrakete at gmail.com, erik.pilkington at gmail.com,

"
static inline int A;
"

seems a little silly, as 'inline' means 'make this definition mergeable', and
static means 'this is a unique definition'. It seems that some sort of warning
that questions why someone would do this is valuable.
