            Bug ID: 46413
           Summary: Failure to optimize out pointer induction variable
           Product: libraries
           Version: trunk
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P
         Component: Scalar Optimizations
          Assignee: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: gabravier at gmail.com
                CC: llvm-bugs at lists.llvm.org
int *foo(int *start)
{
    int *tmp;
    for (tmp = start + 100; tmp > start; --tmp)
        ;
    return tmp;
}
This can be optimized to `return start;`. This transformation is done by GCC,
but not by LLVM.
