I'm also curious what the status is here for LLVM 9.

This is marked fixed, but I don't see what the fixes are?

IIUC we're waiting for https://reviews.llvm.org/D65280 that's somehow related
to this, but doesn't actually mention any PRs in the description?

I'll mark this reopened just to not lose track of it. Jörg, can you confirm
what the status is?
