This LGTM for 22.x, thanks.  I understand the PR will get squashed into a single commit anyway, but that should be fine (in particular as this only affects the test cases).

Not sure why we see the CI failure, that seems to be completely unrelated.  Maybe try rebasing and rerunning CI?
