The tests in two files are exactly the same and the separation is only there because we can't have update_test_checks and update_analyze_checks run on the same file. I can't merge the VPlan ones (see my answer above to Florian), so we'd still need one stacked PR and in that case I don't see any benefit in merging non-VPlan version early.
