Performed an update of PR 3 to address some reviewer nits, and then a rebase, the rebase has unfortunately brought in some code that will break the CI / patch series for the moment. However, I need to create a seperate PR to address it as it's a little unrelated to the changes in the PR stack. So once that lands everything will pass happily and hopefully be ready for submission after some reviews :-)
