I'm hoping that we're still early enough in the LLVM 20 release cycle, since we're before the initial 20.1 release, that we can still cherry-pick it. It restores a certain level of API compatibility with earlier LLVM releases, but it would be an ABI break so would be risky to pick up after the 20.1 release.
