Okay, I've talked with the maintainers of the GCC backend. We've agreed that a format of sh<subarch><b/l><e> is an acceptable compromise. They will still retain their current scheme but will ensure to implement this scheme.

Examples of valid architectures:
 - `sh4eb-linux`
 - `sh2eel-elf`
 - `sh3l`
