Even if we sort this, I need to get back on my discussion with Sam Clegg on #178139 before we can take this in. The PR technically ends up being a work around !

Also that being said I'm guessing you probably would be in a better position to test the PR as you framed the emscripten tests in the cmake right ? Would be great if you could have a look (as I possibly lack the time for it right away)
