My interest in this is as a contributor to [Wild](https://github.com/davidlattimore/wild) and I don't represent any Solaris/Illumos community members. While https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/53919 should be resolved eventually, it is orthogonal to this PR, which is to add a missing feature to the driver.
