            Bug ID: 17118
Summary: Windows installer shouldn't require administrative
                    privileges
           Product: Build scripts
           Version: trunk
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows NT
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P
         Component: Makefiles
          Assignee: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: vz-llvm at zeitlins.org
                CC: llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu
    Classification: Unclassified

Sorry if this is not the right component to file this under, but I don't know
how are the Windows installers for LLVM created and "makefiles" looked like the
least bad guess.

Anyhow, the issue I'd like to report is that the installer downloaded from
http://llvm.org/builds/ asks for administrative privileges for its
installation. Does it really need them and, if so, why? Personally I strongly
prefer to install programs, and especially alpha/beta versions like in this
case, under an unprivileged account and it would be great if clang binaries
could be installed without requiring any special permissions.
