Right, the problem here is that the bug I want to backport is not
"fixed", so we won't have a way to know when it was back-ported, if at
all.

When I proposed to use bugzilla for this I hadn't really thought it through. :/

I'll add just to be there, but I'll think of a better way to keep
track of the back-ports...

On GitHub, this would be just another pull request into a different
branch. Easy peasy. :)
