This commit is taken from a series of downstream commits where I let AI do the short per-commit messages and I only did the PR description of the grouped downstream PR manually.
As a result, this upstream PR description was only reviewed by me, but written by AI. Since I'm against that myself, I now rewrote the PR description manually :D
