Thanks for pointing this out. I checked the in-tree uses and could not find `number_of_entries` being applied to an externally padded sparse tensor, so I kept this PR scoped to loose-compressed storage holes. I also verified that zero `tensor.pad` over a loose-compressed tensor currently reaches the existing `!inPadZone` assertion in `LooseCompressedLevel::peekRangeAt`. I plan to handle that separately. Please let me know if you had a different external-padding case in mind.
