I am posting my first set of comments. This is quite dense, so I will need to go over it in smaller instalments. 

Btw, it looks like the `memref.copy` part and "dynamic subviews" are independent. Is that correct? If yes, then lets split this into two PRs. So far I am focusing on the latter.
