I am supportive of making this configurable and like the new default name better than `execute`. However I am not sure how far this is in use already. Might need a PSA but if @aniragil is fine with landing it might be fine to go with this as is. Alternatively, we could also default to `execute` but still have it configurable. No strong feelings though and up to you @banach-space.
