No worries at all! I actually found the terminology quite useful in its original context.

It looks like generalizing this terminology across Vector isn’t the best approach right now. Since the consensus is that this isn’t the right direction, I’ll go ahead and close this PR.

That said, I still think Part 1 improves clarity, so I’ll focus on addressing that separately. If there’s any part of this that could still be useful in some form, I’m happy to revisit it later.
