[llvm-dev] Loop identification algorithm

Hi all,

I am currently studying various loop identification algorithms ( Tarjan's,
Ramlingam, Havlak ). These algorithms may not be that important from
compiler performance perspective. But can anyone help me in telling their
importance, scope and active area of research in this field ? How can they
be helpful ?
