Conflicts with CPPcon, which I'd already decided to go to; sorry… sounds like fun.

I'm totally up for it again - really great to demystify the compiler/tools/system programming field a bit as well as talking to women who are already familiar with/enthused about it (great when we had women come up to the booth already knowing LLVM - or those who just loved the dragon logo & were curious to learn more). Equally, if there's a bunch of other folks who would like to staff - I'm happy to pass the baton to spread/share the experience.

Hello LLVM Developers!
Last year, the LLVM Foundation sponsored a booth at the Grace Hopper Conference. I had 2 amazing volunteers from the community, David Blaikie and Anna Zaks, help me spread the word about LLVM, compilers, and open source. It was a great experience and we are hoping to repeat this at the upcoming 2018 Grace Hopper conference in Houston, TX on September 26-28.
I’m looking for volunteers to help staff the LLVM booth. We are hoping to get a larger group of representatives from the community to staff the booth (3-4). The LLVM Foundation will provide a booth registration (if needed), and can possibly help with travel costs. However, we hope that some companies will see the value in sending someone and cover their travel costs. While our primary purpose is to educate attendees about LLVM, compilers, and open source, we do see this as a great recruiting opportunity as many students with compiler experience were actively seeking out our booth. Booth staff will be able to collect resumes, and mention if their company is hiring as long as they are still promoting LLVM and encouraging more contributors to the open source project.
If you are interested in volunteering, please send me an email with a brief description of your background in LLVM (and related projects), what company you work for, and what costs you or your company can cover.
Please let me know if you have questions. I’m also open to any ideas you have to make our booth a success, so please send them my way.
Thanks,
Tanya
