I agree.
I also think the too early prologue_end is mostly a concern for the unwinder in the debugger (if it looks at the prologue_end at all), since variable locations in optimized code are rarely frame-relative and if they are they are typically of the DEBUG_VALUE kind and generate a location list whose first address will be after the "real" function prologue.
