What would help (IMO) is pointing out any specific suggestions of
improvements and why they're really important to have, while keeping in
mind James' point about there being significant value in following
convention here.

I'm also interested in separating out some things that it is OK to iterate
on and some things that we need to get right out of the gate. For example,
I think the reporting stuff (especially the logistics of it) can be
iterated on a lot.
