I've managed to reproduce this outside the list using SMTP and telnet. I've been sending myself emails with various modified headers and I've concluded that Outlook isn't handling Reply-To correctly. It seems to be replacing both instances of the list (from From and CC) with the Reply-To instead of just the one in From. I don't know what the correct fix is but I've sent the details to Tanya Lattner.
