1. Senior Compiler Engineer, Stream Compute Team - AMD, Sunnyvale, California

We are currently looking for a senior software engineer to join the core team developing our OpenCL compiler stack for multi-core CPU and many-core graphics systems. The selected candidate will be involved in all aspects feature development and maintenance, and will participate in performance tuning for new multi-core x86 and graphics hardware running on multiple operating systems. The position will involve interfacing with ASIC design engineers and architects, OS engineers and peers in related development teams.

Experience working on compilers and knowledge of LLVM/Clang is a plus, as is knowledge of the OpenCL API, parallel programing, or other GPGPU programming models. The individual will be a member of a team where communication and team skills are highly valued.

Requirements:
- BSc or equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field is required, plus at least 3+ years work experience in relevant field.
- Strong C & C++ programming skills, along with an understanding of software engineering practices.
- Experience with software development tools such as source level debugging and code profiler.
- Exposure to algorithms used for optimizations and code generation for CPU or graphics hardware is a strong plus.

2. Intern, Stream Compute Team - AMD, Sunnyvale, California

We're also looking for a strong intern candidate with a computer science background, an interest to learn about compiler technologies, and a passion for software development.  The relevant work term will be from May-August 2013.
