I think it might be good to split this into:

- `and` and `or` handling changes
- `xor` handling
- `isNonZeroRecurrence` change
- The recursion depth accounting change

That way we could see the test changes of these individual changes. It also becomes easier to bisect and fix/revert if there's a regression.
