We do bit-wise shadow propagation for integers, because it's possible later to mask out uninitialized bits, keeping only good ones. However in case pointers I don't see much reason to have some bits uninitialized.

Unless we see a common pattern where reasonable code needs such pointers, I'd propose to report them.
