I had tested with two synthetic objects assembled from ThinLTO temporaries made by a code agent, and it copied the FDE bytes directly, which let them slip past ICF's comparison and fold. I redid the test with the real objects (plus minimal mock data to complete the link) and confirmed: LLD cannot fold FDE-bearing functions today, and ld-prime can. This also answers my question about the description: the `__text` win from ICF is real for LLD.
