Seems reasonable to me, but changing defaults always has the potential to break people.

Looks Russell added this originally in e7cb374433095219069ef767f70c0c9159a65b7c but I don't know if he's on github.

@aganea enabled this for COFF in 356139bd027d65b6843cbd4eda642104cfe6cf8f and might have input.
