Force pushed to rebase on top of the penultimate disabling-some-flags commit. I've also adding a commit that removes the intrinsic CHECK lines from a flang test: this test is checking the same information in both representation formats, there's no actual loss of coverage from removing these lines with intrinsic-mode going away.
