[llvm] r261463 - Unbreak non-X86 targets from fallout caused by r261462

It looks like 3.7 has the same problem. Since it's not fixing a
regression and the patch looks non-trivial, I'd rather not merge it
this late in the 3.8 process. Might be a good candidate for 3.8.1,
though.
