(Sorry if this is a dupe, this already went out via plain email, but I thought it would be handy to put it in Phabricator anyway, to make Tom's workflow easier.)

Please merge this into the 3.7 branch, it fixes an apparently long standing issue (PR25080).  This could even go into 3.6, but I'm not sure if it is still active?
