Sorry, this is in part my fault.

I knew that Davide was working on a new port and during this visit
California I learned that Michael was doing one too. That was
overlapping with Davide's work and having merging problems with the
work I am doing to streamline ELF.h.

Michael had talked with Davide, and I overreacted and asked him to
commit something to stop the work overlap and conflicts.
