Knowing ARM, I think even waiting for that promise will take time, if
you get it at all.

Do you have a list of all the aliases you want to add? And if they're
implemented by other compilers (and which) and what's the purpose of
implementing the aliases (legacy or external tools support, ease of
use, etc).
