Well  it was a reduction of it. With that fixed I was able to reduce you
test to the one in pr11877. I am probably sounding like a broken record,
but the main advantage of that test is that codgen is not involved, it
is a simple .s to .o test.

I might have some time to look at it tomorrow, but if not, will probably
not get to it for two weeks, so feel free to take it if you want.
