Bug ID: 31550
Summary: Improved "else if" diagnostic
Product: clang
Version: trunk
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P
Component: Frontend
Assignee: unassignedclangbugs at nondot.org
Reporter: eric.huhtala at gmail.com
CC: llvm-bugs at lists.llvm.org
Classification: Unclassified
Diagnostic for:
if (cond) {
} else (other cond) {
}
can be a little confusing, as it complains about wanting a ';' at the end of
"(other cond)", when the real fix is to change the "else" to "else if".
Would it be possible to assume that "else (" should probably be "else if ("?
