Repro case
If I compile passing the -Rpass-missed=loop-vectorize flag I'm told "use
-Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize for more info", ex:
$ clang -S -fvectorize -O3 -Rpass-missed=loop-vectorize basic.cxx
basic.cxx:3:5: remark: loop not vectorized: use -Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize
for more info [-Rpass-missed=loop-vectorize]
for (int i = 0; i < Length; i++)
^
so if I then add -Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize as instructed, it outputs:
$ clang -S -fvectorize -O3 -Rpass-missed=loop-vectorize
-Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize /basic.cxx
basic.cxx:5:9: remark: loop not vectorized: loop contains a switch statement
[-Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize]
switch(A[i])
^
basic.cxx:3:5: remark: loop not vectorized: use -Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize
for more info [-Rpass-missed=loop-vectorize]
for (int i = 0; i < Length; i++)
^
It still says to "use -Rpass-analysis=loop-vectorize for more info" even though
I already am! :) Not very useful/clever. :)
This causes lots of noise.
$ clang --version
clang version 3.9.0 (trunk 274259)
