            Bug ID: 21593
Summary: Modules design problems for linux/packagers
           Product: clang
           Version: trunk
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P
         Component: Modules
          Assignee: unassignedclangbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: steveire at gmail.com
CC: dgregor at apple.com, llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu
    Classification: Unclassified

As per

 http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.compilers.clang.devel/39209/focus=39534

the current design might not be good enough for them. I have not investigated
whether the suggestion of using extern module declarations in a
/usr/local/module.modulemap, but requiring every library to include a script to
update that may not be viable. Requires asking packagers.
