Summary: Documentation to use gender-neutral language
Product: Documentation
Version: trunk
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P
Component: General docs
Assignee: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
Reporter: jfcaron3 at gmail.com
CC: llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu
Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 12549
--> http://llvm.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=12549&action=edit
diff from "git diff ." in the root/interpreter/llvm directory of the git clone
link above.
While trying to correct the documentation and comments in the ROOT6 code
(cloned via "git clone http://root.cern.ch/git/root.git") it was pointed out to
me that a lot of my corrections are from LLVM code, not specifically ROOT6 or
cling. I have attached a diff that corrects the gendered language in the LLVM
part of the code to use the gender-neutral "they" as described here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_they
I hope my corrections can find their way into the official LLVM code in order
to provide a more inclusive documentation for everyone.
