            Bug ID: 15530
Summary: [darwin8] Linker driver passing bad
                    -macosx_version_min value 10.4.0
           Product: clang
           Version: trunk
          Hardware: Macintosh
                OS: MacOS X
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P
         Component: Driver
          Assignee: unassignedclangbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: fang at csl.cornell.edu
CC: daniel at zuster.org, llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu
    Classification: Unclassified

My dylib links all give warnings on darwin8, for example:

% /Users/fang/local/src/LLVM-svn/gcc40-cmake-build/bin/clang -v -dynamiclib -o
.libs/libltdl.7.dylib .libs/libltdl_la-preopen.o .libs/libltdl_la-lt__alloc.o
.libs/libltdl_la-lt_dlloader.o .libs/libltdl_la-lt_error.o
.libs/libltdl_la-ltdl.o .libs/libltdl_la-slist.o .libs/argz.o .libs/libltdlS.o
.libs/libltdl.lax/dlopen.a/dlopen.o -O0 -install_name
/usr/local/lib/libltdl.7.dylib -compatibility_version 11 -current_version 11.0
-Wl,-single_module
clang version 3.3
Target: powerpc-apple-darwin8.11.0
Thread model: posix
 "/usr/bin/ld" -dynamic -dylib -dylib_compatibility_version 11
-dylib_current_version 11.0 -arch ppc -dylib_install_name
/usr/local/lib/libltdl.7.dylib -macosx_version_min 10.4.0 -o
.libs/libltdl.7.dylib -ldylib1.o .libs/libltdl_la-preopen.o
.libs/libltdl_la-lt__alloc.o .libs/libltdl_la-lt_dlloader.o
.libs/libltdl_la-lt_error.o .libs/libltdl_la-ltdl.o .libs/libltdl_la-slist.o
.libs/argz.o .libs/libltdlS.o .libs/libltdl.lax/dlopen.a/dlopen.o
-single_module -lSystem -lgcc_s.10.4
/usr/bin/ld: warning unknown -macosx_version_min parameter value: 10.4.0
ignored (using 10.1)

/usr/bin/ld on darwin8 (Xcode 2.5) does, however, accept 10.4 as a value.
Can this be easily and cleanly fixed in the driver code?
