            Bug ID: 15490
Summary: Linker error only on FreeBSD
           Product: clang
           Version: 3.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: FreeBSD
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P
         Component: C++
          Assignee: unassignedclangbugs at nondot.org
          Reporter: kay.hayen at gmail.com
CC: dgregor at apple.com, llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu
    Classification: Unclassified

I am getting these errors, when building a shared library with clang on
FreeBSD. The code is generated by Nuitka, a Python compiler, see
http://nuitka.net

local symbol 0: discarded in section `.text._ZN16_PythonExceptionD1Ev' from
manage_ips.build/static/CompiledGeneratorType.os
local symbol 1: discarded in section `.text._ZN16_PythonExceptionD1Ev' from
manage_ips.build/static/CompiledMethodType.os
local symbol 2: discarded in section `.text._ZN16_PythonExceptionD1Ev' from
manage_ips.build/static/CompiledFrameType.os
local symbol 3: discarded in section `.text._ZN16_PythonExceptionD1Ev' from
manage_ips.build/static/CompiledCodeHelpers.os
local symbol 4: discarded in section
`.text._Z22_SET_CURRENT_EXCEPTIONP7_objectS0_P10_traceback' from
manage_ips.build/module.manage_ips.os
local symbol 5: discarded in section `.text._ZN16_PythonExceptionD1Ev' from
manage_ips.build/module.manage_ips.os

To reproduce it, simple unpack the source of Nuitka, and compile any python
module, e.g. "./bin/nuitka --clang tests/basics/Asserts.py". It will then
create a source directory "Asserts.build" with the problematic source code.
Check class source from:
http://nuitka.net/gitweb/?p=Nuitka.git;a=blob;f=nuitka/build/include/nuitka/exceptions.hpp;h=ece2323b9a6a67e2512aec5b6e8366f80332dd9d;hb=HEAD

I am the author of Nuitka, and cannot reproduce the issue on Linux with Clang
3.0 and 3.2 as distributed in Debian. I cannot find anything specific about
this class. And I cannot find any information about the error message, and what
it should mean.

Please help. Thanks in advance,
Kay Hayen
