Bug #: 12191
Summary: StmtPrinter::VisitStringLiteral is broken for Unicode
string literals
Product: clang
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P
Component: C++
AssignedTo: unassignedclangbugs at nondot.org
ReportedBy: sharparrow1 at yahoo.com
CC: dgregor at apple.com, llvmbugs at cs.uiuc.edu,
richard-llvm at metafoo.co.uk
Classification: Unclassified
For example:
// Assertion failure:
static_assert(0, L"\xFFFFFFFF");
// Translated to u"\uD885\uDFFF", which isn't a valid string literal:
static_assert(0, u"\U000317FF");
// Translated to u8"\316\251", which is correct, but really ugly:
static_assert(0, u8"Ω");
