Summary: Is --enable-optimized still a good default?
           Product: Build scripts
           Version: cvs
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: MacOS X
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: autoconf
        AssignedTo: unassignedbugs at nondot.org
        ReportedBy: eric at vanrietpaap.nl

As a user (not llvm developer) I find myself always using ./configure -
-enable-optimized while most every other piece of software I configure
and compile just need a ./configure ; make ; make install.

>From my point of view a release instead of debug build by default
would be more consistent.
