Summary: benchmarks should be tweaked to have a reasonable
                    running time
           Product: Test Suite
           Version: trunk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Programs Tests
        AssignedTo: criswell at uiuc.edu
        ReportedBy: alkis at cs.uiuc.edu

Most of the spec benchmarks are good for comparisons but some are not because
the running time is not long enough. The ones that I think should be changed so
that they run for more time are:

183.equake (0.666s)
181.mcf (0.199s)
252.eon (0.072s)
254.gap (0.527s)
300.twolf (0.170s)
124.m88ksim (0.006s)
126.gcc (0.635s)
129.compress (0.021s)
130.li (0.386s)
132.ijpeg (0.191s)
134.perl (0.008s)
