One thing I can think of to make a clear distinction between events and target helper functions is we can have methods that start with `handle_` (as all methods that are already in there already do) and be documented at the class level to be responding to target events. Any function that is providing non-event functionality could start with a different suffix like maybe `do_`, so the new function for resolving load address would be `do_resolve_address`? Does that sound acceptable?
