I think we just need to do:

  set(DEFAULT_LLDB_TEST_COMPILER "$<TARGET_FILE:clang>")
  
  set(LLDB_TEST_COMPILER "${DEFAULT_LLDB_TEST_COMPILER}" CACHE PATH "Path to clang executable used to run LLDB tests")

Does this not work?
