Thanks for pointing out the issues.
Is there a nice way to represent the root/global namespace in a namespace decl? I guess right now a null namespace decl actually means the global namespace. However, I don't see anything right now in dwarf that explicitly mentions the global namespace by name and that would probably have to match the namespace decl.
Alternatively, would it be possible to just use the global namespace function base name when adding it to m_function_fullname_index (of SymbolFileDWARF) since we don't search for function names with brackets/parameters (or do we? maybe there are other cases)? If there are overloaded functions I believe all the versions of that function are returned anyway.

We would need to parse the mangled name up into a function prototype and say the return value is the UnknownAnyType type... This would work for simple functions with built in types only, but we haven't ever had this.

Then we can always call the "FindFunctions" with a valid namespace decl. Of course we might want something that says "global _or_ anonymous namespace from the current translation unit"???

I did a little debugging and found the problem, in general, is a mismatch between the symbol lldb is searching for that it has parsed from an expression and the demangled symbol name in the dwarf/symbol table. Specifically, I think the commit below introduced the problems.
>>
>> For instance, if 'int a_function_to_call() { return 0;}' is compiled as a c++ function, the demangled name becomes 'a_function_to_call()'. Similarly, an overloaded version 'int a_function_to_call(int i)' becomes 'a_function_to_call(int)'. Trying to print the demangled function pointer (ie. expression a_function_to_call) or calling the demangled function using an expression will fail.
