There is `-fmodules-driver` but I don't think it is meant to be used in production—it recompiles `std` for every module unit that `import`s it. 

The fundamental design decision of `std.cppm` is that **users are expected to write** `-fmodule-output=... -o std.o` or `--precompile std.cppm -o std.pcm`.
