I suggest implementing the class like this:

```
template <class _NoUnique, class _Tp>
class __conditional_no_unique_address;
template <class _Tp>
class __conditional_no_unique_address<true, _Tp> {
  // equivalent to `__no_unique` below
};
template <class _Tp>
class __conditional_no_unique_address<false, _Tp> {
  // equivalent to `__unique` below
};
```

Then you can use `__conditional_no_unique_address<x, T>` directly in the code without using `::type`. It's also a bit simpler.

I also don't see a reason for adding `__expected` in its name, since this is a general purpose utility. We could move it to its own header in the future if we have a need for it elsewhere (I dread that moment).
